These Terms govern your use of drshieba.com (the "Site"). By browsing the Site, submitting a form, or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What this Site is

The Site publishes educational material on cardiothoracic surgery and related conditions, information about the clinical and academic work of Dr. Yusuf Shieba, a research and publication list, video content, and training courses. It also lets visitors send an enquiry or request an appointment.

2. The Site does not provide medical care

Nothing on this Site is medical advice for your individual case, and using the Site does not create a doctor–patient relationship. This is set out fully in our Medical Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not use this Site.

3. Appointment requests

Submitting the booking form sends a request. It is not a confirmed appointment. An appointment exists only once our office has confirmed it with you directly. We may need to change or reschedule appointments for clinical reasons.

4. Accounts

  • You must give accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account.
  • One person, one account. Do not share access with others.
  • We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms or are used abusively.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, impersonate, or defraud anyone;
  • submit false information, spam, malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights;
  • upload anything other than the image types the forms permit;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its accounts, or its servers;
  • scrape, copy, or republish the Site's content at scale without written permission.

6. Content you submit

You keep ownership of anything you send us, including images. By submitting it you allow us to store and use it for the purpose you sent it — answering your enquiry or arranging your care. Do not upload images of other people without their consent. We may delete submissions that breach these Terms.

7. Courses

Course content is provided for professional and educational development. Enrolment is personal to you and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed. Course materials remain the property of their authors. Completing a course does not by itself confer any clinical qualification, licence, or certification to practise.

8. Intellectual property

Articles, videos, images, course materials, the site design, and the logo are owned by Dr. Yusuf Shieba or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You may read, share links to, and quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back. You may not republish whole articles, sell the content, or present it as your own.

Bibliographic details of published research are listed for academic reference. Rights in the underlying papers belong to their publishers and authors.

9. External links

The Site links to third-party resources such as journals, PubMed, and video platforms. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the Site available and its content current, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Site may be suspended for maintenance, and content may be changed or removed at any time.

11. Limitation of liability

The Site and its content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
